Update on our Entrepreneurship & Employment Newcomer Women's Program

We are very happy to announce that the Entrepreneurship & Employment Newcomer Women's Program has been extended for another year! 
The next round starts on September 13th, 2021 and it is all online!
Our entrepreneurship & employment programs are available in two streams - one for those still wondering about the how-to’s, possibilities, and what is involved - which we call the beginner stream.  The other stream is the advanced stream - for those that have a product, an idea and need an extra boost of support to get the side hustle off the ground!  There are more details below about the two streams.
 
Beginner Stream:

-        Learn digital skills by using computers, ipads, and different software programs.  

-        Learn business skills such as social media marketing, website product descriptions, photography, and basic graphic design.

-        Employment training including point of sale systems, employability skills, customer service, retail skills, sales, communication, leadership and teamwork.

-        Develop a product to sell and launch your business idea online.

-        Access to 1:1 mentorship post-graduation from the program.
 
Details:

-        8 weeks in length, Monday- Friday from 9:30 am- 2:00 pm

-        Location: Online    

-        Accepts 3-4 applicants at a time

Advanced Stream:

-        Build your business idea, and make more sales with 1:1 support.

-        Assistance in developing a business website on a selling platform of your choosing (ex. Shopify, Etsy, Ebay, etc.).

-        Social media audit of your business pages with recommendations and assistance developing a social media strategy to boost followers, engagement and sales.

-        Development of a three year business plan.

-        Branding and graphic design using online software.

-        Development of a business media package (letterhead, labels, invoice templates, social media templates, business cards, etc.)

-        Access to 1:1 mentorship post-graduation from the program.

-        Participants must come with a product idea and have basic knowledge of social media platforms (facebook as an example) and using a computer.

Details:

-        8 weeks in length, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:30 am- 2:00 pm.

-        Location: Online

-        Accepts 3-4 applicants at a time.

Please note that eligibility for this program is only open to those that have the following status:  permanent residents, refugees and a few other statuses as well, anything that is pre-citizenship
